Back and forth, and other news…

locandinapiccolaHello folks!

October is a very busy month for us.

We’re spending a lot of time in our studio writing new songs. Some good stuff came out. We are going to record these songs and release a split-cd with the croatian band “Emphasis” on Asiluum netlabel.

Soon the 2009 version of Pequod with Costin artwork will be available, You’ll find it at our gigs.

The movie “Il caso Krolevsky” came out, and we took part to the first night.
It’s amazing to hear your music “really loud!” in a crowded theater.
We hope to do this again and again.

On the road again! We arranged some gigs in northern Italy: next week we will be in Pavia (fri 23) and Piacenza (sat 24). On January we will go to Vicenza and Padova, and then back to Genova.

We are also planning to take part to the Asiluum festival in Bucharest, February 2010, more news soon.

Maybe we found our new van, to be bought in a criminal organization with our family-friends June Miller.. photos of the wreck and news to come!

We finally became doctors!

We are honoured to announce that the romanian net-label Asiluum published a new edition of our first official record Pequod.

The beautiful artwork is by Costin Chioreanu [http://twilight13media.com/].

This is how Asiluum describes itself [from Asiluum.com]:

The Asiluum clinic was founded in 2007 by Costin Chioreanu and Marius Costache.

It’s not a real clinic and not another hidden predator for your pockets. This is a non-profit “something” that promotes underground artists.

Unlike other netlabels we also create content instead of just uploading it directly from the artist. That means we also help the artists “signed” to Asiluum to become full time doctors and provide them studio time.

The key word around here is -free-. “Nothing is free!” you’ll say and you are absolutely right. You will have to pay something more valuable than money, you will have to pay Attention.

This is not a church, a sect and we don’t have our own “product category”, simply because this is something unclassifiable by the commercial society that we live in. You find this quite incredible, huh? Ok, well get use to it, have a look around, get your medicines or just leave.

The world is not enough!

dresda pisaHello my friends!

No news from us doesn’t mean that we are on holiday! We NEVER stop working on our music.

The soundtrack of the movie is almost finished and we are removing dust from our black ties for the opening event! Maybe we will consider to publish a “Krolewsky EP”.

Pequod is going to be re-published with a new package by an amazing Romanian Label. That’s cool! [More news REALLY soon].

We are astonished to see how our EP is still hitting the headlines in the post rock scene: Arpo[Russia],  The Sirens Sound, Helicon [Portugal] -thx to our friend Diogo, Radio Universidad de Coimbra -, Radioeins [Germany],  Far Past Post RadioPostrocking, and many other links around the world, from Austria, England, China, Japan.. !

Lots of gigs coming, stay tuned!

To finish a nice video made by our beloved Elena during our last gig in Marina di Massa, in July. That’s good for a summer night..

May your summer-end be amazing, and emotional, and lucky!

DSC04760We used to describe our music as “soundtracks for never shooted cinematic sequences”.. but things changed!!!!!

You already know about “il caso krolewksy”, our new storm to hollywood is the short film “la lingua del disordine”, winner of the Genova film festival, that contains our songs John Wayne Shot Me! and Attraverso lenti colorate.

A new review that really makes us proud: the austrian webzine post rock community!

Finally,  next gigs: 26 June @ Club Irene, Viareggio – 27 June TBA – 28 June @ Tago Mago, Massa

Cheers!

DSC03856Hello mates!

We’re still alive and kicking [just a little bit tired because we never sleep enough!!!!!].

Dresda is working hard on the theme of  “il caso krolevsky”, a movie about life and choices and theater as a metaphor of life.

At the same time the band plays gigs, we’ve been at Tesla Night [www.tesladischi.it] last Saturday, and next thursday we’ll play at Banano Tsunami in Genova for the Lorca festival [www.metrodora.net].

On 12 June we will play with our friends Karmatest and Hermitage [finally!] in Genova, and on 19 June we will be in Viareggio.

We are still promoting Pequod, you can order it on www.marsigliarecords.it, you can even buy it at the amazing “Taxi Driver Store” in Genova, and for our countless british and austrian fans [!!!!] two shipments of Pequod were just delivered to distros.. more news asap.

And now time to introduce our new favourite victim: Antonio joined the band. Now we are 5! As a perfect “wannabe boy band” is supposed to be.

Cheers!

We are Dresda!

dresdaWe finally published our new website in English! Yes! We had some blasts about the impossibility to obtain informations about us, and now we make amends. We are really impressed to see that our music has been appreciated even in other countries.. that’s absolutely unbelievable!

Now back to business! Dresda is currently working on new songs for an EP/Split that will be out in the late 2009, planning gigs for summer and autumn, and most of all we are involved in “motion picture soundtracks“!

And now, the latest Pequod reviews: Repubblica[10/04/09], Sentire Ascoltare n.54 , Crumbs in the Butter , Audiodrome, and interviews with our friend Simone from Emptv and for Genovatune.
